1 / 3

On September 8, the regular sitting of the RA NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs convened on September 3 moderated by Vladimir Vardanyan continued, during which the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Public Service and the package of the draft laws enclosed to it authored by the Government.

According to the RA Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan, the draft laws are considered to be the continuation of the steps to be taken in the anti-corruption sphere, by which the Accreditation Institute is expected to improve, and it would give an opportunity to ensure the transparency of the activity of the accrediting officials.

The key speaker, the RA NA deputy Sisak Gabrielyan highlighted the necessity of the legislative package and urged his colleagues to endorse it.

The package of the draft laws as approved by the Committee.

The bill on Amending the Law on Service in Judicial Department was debated by the RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Smbat Saiyan.

The key speaker, the RA NA deputy Artur Davtyan has noted that the amendment being proposed is out of the circle of the judicial reforms adopted by the Government, it is a deteriorating norm, thus has proposed to abstain from such amendment.

In the MPs' opinion, the substantiations of the bill are incomplete, and the regulations under proposal need specification.

As a result of debate, the voting of the bill was postponed up to two months for reviewing it.
